What exactly is foreign trade?
Specifically, I import goods from various countries and sell them through our Shyman franchise outlets. Therefore, my job can be divided into two main tasks. The first is to import products that are likely to sell well, and the second is to manage and operate the continuous inventory of products.

What is the secret to becoming fluent in Korean?
The secret to my fluency in Korean is that I have been exposed to Korean culture from a young age. I can proudly say that I know more about K-POP, Korean music, and dramas than most Koreans. Among them, I really like Big Bang. I studied Korean a lot by memorizing the lyrics to Big Bang's songs. Also, I think I can speak Korean fluently because I had already worked in Korea for about two years before joining Shyman.

What did you do before you joined Shyman?
When I was in China, I had just graduated from university and worked for a long time at a steel trading company. Then, I spent about two years working for the fashion brand MCM in Korea. During that time, I also went back to my hometown and ran a bar franchise that combined Korean alcohol and culture. Subsequently, I joined Xiamen following an offer from President Kwang-Soo Hwang, whom I had known for a long time.

Don’t you feel lonely being alone in Korea?
I am not lonely. In fact, there are so many things to do and so many new experiences that every day is interesting. I came to Xiamen with big dreams, so I am really enjoying my time here and am very satisfied.

What is the know-how for importing good products?
I analyze samples every day to find good products. I also import products that reflect the opinions of various people and customers, and use big data from consumer reviews to select products. Lastly, as I know the local Chinese market better than most Koreans, being able to communicate more smoothly with manufacturers seems to be my unique know-how.

You are very muscular. Have you been working out?
I really love exercising. That's why I specialized in basketball and track and field during my elementary, middle, and high school years. Although I had to give up the path of an elite athlete due to an injury at a crucial time, I still regularly participate in recreational sports here in Korea. If it's something to be proud of, it's that my long-term commitment to sports has given me perseverance, and I have a style that actively challenges everything. Take a look at my forearm. It's thick, isn't it? I am quite a solid man. (Just kidding)

What is your dream?
I am quite ambitious, so I actually have not one, but two dreams. The first is to create a happy family. The reason is that I want to share the same amount of love with my future family that I received from____ my parents. I want to be a good father. Secondly, I dream of being socially successful. While a happy family is important, doing well professionally is also a dream of mine. To achieve this dream, I am working overtime even today.
