IT/Assistant Supervisor Yoon-Seo Lee | Inha Technical College, Department of Automotive Engineering | Technology and Franchise Management
¡°If it becomes difficult to proceed together, please let me know at any time. I will carry you on
my back and run to our final destination. I will take care of the management.
All you need to do as the store owner is to earn a lot of money and become wealthy.
Could you please introduce yourself?
Hello, I am Yoon-Seo Lee, the IT and Assistant Supervisor at Shyman.
I heard that you lived in the United States before.
I lived in the United States for about 11 years. The reason started before I was born, when my parents went to the US for their honeymoon. In fact, it turned out to be a long honeymoon. While there, what was supposed to be a temporary job for my father flourished day by day. His work evolved into a business. Consequently, I naturally spent my childhood in the US.
IT & Supervisor sounds unfamiliar.
You might be unfamiliar with the roles of IT and Supervisor. In IT, at Shyman, I am responsible for everything from all products to vending machines, and even electricity, semiconductors, equipment, and circuits. You can think of it as the Chief Technology Officer, in simple terms. Additionally, a Supervisor is a manager who takes care of the overall management of Shyman franchises nationwide, including addressing any issues franchise owners may have, overseeing stores, and sourcing domestic products.

I understand that you graduated from the Automotive Department at Inha Technical College.
I majored in car maintenance since high school and, albeit modestly, I have won many awards including first place in national competitions. I also served as the captain of the automotive repair team known as the 'Skills Competition Team'. If I were to look solely at my career, I might have spent my entire life in the automotive field, but in truth, my greatest joy comes not from cars but from maintenance and management itself. That is why I pursued my university studies in the Automotive Department at Inha Technical College, which is considered the pinnacle in maintenance and management. This education allowed me to develop the ability to handle and manage a variety of fields including electricity, electronics, mechanics, and engineering. Since joining Shyman, this experience has directly helped in managing vending machines, kiosks, semiconductors, and software programs, and I take great pride in my alma mater and field of study.

I understand that you are a fitness enthusiast and a health management advocate.
Yes, that¡¯s correct. Perhaps because of my background living in the USA, exercise and health management have always played a significant role in my life. The reason I started exercising might be familiar to you from American movies and TV shows; in the US, Asians who are physically small often face a lot of disregard. To defend myself and to avoid being overlooked, I began exercising as a young child. Over time, the sense of achievement I felt from exercising, along with the health benefits and the concept of self-discipline against my own weaknesses, only grew stronger. Therefore, now I continue to work out more for health and maintenance rather than just building and showing off muscles. After all, if I am healthy, Xiamen stays healthy too.
You travel a lot for work; isn't it exhausting?
Not at all; it's simply part of the job. However, I do feel very disappointed in myself when I can't resolve the store owners' issues cleanly. If you ask what might be difficult, it's the current weather – it¡¯s so hot that my clothes are often soaked with sweat. I worry that sweat might drip onto the circuit boards while I¡¯m repairing them. I guess I'll have to manage even my sweat glands properly.

What is your dream?
My dream is to be a manager. I want to manage people, manage my body, manage the company, and oversee everything related to me. My dream is to become someone who manages and oversees every aspect of my life. Some might ask, 'How is that a dream?' But for me, the happiest moment is when I am managing. Within 10 years, I aim to reach the pinnacle of management, become the ultimate manager, and be Yoon-Seo who stands at the end of management.
A final word to the store owners and prospective store owners
Since my joining, Shyman has undergone many changes such as kiosk upgrades, product renewals, new staff, and headquarters relocation. While these changes may be challenging and inconvenient for some store owners, they are all aimed at enhancing Xiamen's brand value and franchisee sales. So, I would be grateful if you trust and follow along. I hope we can continue moving forward together. If it becomes difficult to proceed together, please let me know at any time. I will carry you on my back and run to our final destination. I will take care of the management. All you need to do as the store owner is to earn a lot of money and become wealthy. Thank you.
